Monday 14 June

Diane and Charlie are loved up
Before they leave France, Charlie (George Costigan) shows Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) and Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) his chateaux which isn’t finished. They return to Emmerdale and Doug (Duncan Preston) is gutted to see Charlie and Diane so loved up. Diane gets irritated by Doug’s attitude towards Charlie and forces him to leave, humiliated. Val’s pleased to see Diane so happy, though unaware Charlie is confiding in Rodney that he has to go back to France.
Declan learns how low Nathan will go
Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) menacingly reveals to Declan (Jason Merrells) how he blackmailed David (Matthew Wolfenden) and got his planning permission granted. He spitefully reminds Declan to uphold his end of the deal.
Carl can’t deny he’s tempted by Eve
In the pub, Carl (Tom Lister) admiringly glances at Eve (Suzanne Shaw). She coyly insists she only wants to be friends and is pleased when he agrees.
Elsewhere:
• Cain (Jeff Hordley) riles Declan further when he soaks bags of cement meant for his renovations
• David tries to share Leyla’s (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) enthusiasm when he announces he’s got the money for the deposit on the house



Wednesday 16 June

Nathan finds out about Natasha and Declan
Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) walks in on Declan (Jason Merrells) and Natasha (Amanda Donohoe), Natasha tells Nathan he’ll have to get used to having Declan around. Later, Nathan cruelly reminds Declan he’ll pay for breaking their deal and threatens to tell Natasha of their arrangement. However, Declan laughs his childish games off which leave Nathan seething.
Charlie admits to Diane he’ll be leaving soon
Val (Charlie Hardwick) is fierce when Charlie (George Costigan) reveals he’s going to have to return to France permanently within the next few weeks. He heeds Val’s warning and plucks up the courage to tell Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) over dinner.

Aaron’s struggling with community payback
Aaron (Danny Miller) is eager to find solace with Jackson (Marc Silcock) and confides that someone at community payback is giving him a hard time. Nonchalant, Jackson tells him to deal with it.

Elsewhere:
• Sam (James Hooton) is surprised when Natasha tersely warns him to forget Declan’s demand to clear the woods
• Carl’s (Tom Lister) shouting causes Edna (Shirley Stelfox) to trip at work and dislocate her arm, Eve (Suzanne Shaw) sees it as an excuse to tease Carl


Thursday 17th June – ep 1

Aaron humiliates the wrong guy
At community payback, Aaron (Danny Miller) ignores Wayne’s (Gary Hanks) homophobic jibes. When he tries to pick on the new boy, Aaron turns the tables and humiliates Wayne. Later, Aaron heads back to the garage unaware that Wayne has followed him. Wayne angrily confronts him but Aaron refuses to fight. He picks up a spanner as Aaron doesn’t move to defend himself. Both are unaware that Jackson has seen it all. Will Jackson come to Aaron’s rescue?

Nathan only makes Natasha and Declan stronger
Refusing to let Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) win, Declan (Jason Merrells) tells Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) everything. When she confronts him, Nathan’s thrown and Natasha firmly puts him in his place.
Val’s sure Diane’s not really OK about Charlie leaving
Val’s (Charlie Hardwick) sympathetic when Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) admits she doesn’t want to tell Charlie (George Costigan) how she feels in case he still leaves.
Elsewhere:
• Carl’s (Tom Lister) irritated when Chas (Lucy Pargeter) ignores him to speak to Aaron (Danny Miller). Instead, he distracts himself as he enjoys the banter with Eve (Suzanne Shaw)



Thursday 17th June – ep 2

Aaron takes the next step with Jackson
Jackson (Marc Silcock) steps in and restrains Wayne (Gary Hanks) when he sees Aaron (Danny Miller) is struggling to contain his temper. However, when Wayne slinks off Jackson returns to work which leaves Aaron wondering. Later, Aaron buys Jackson a thank you pint and they talk about Aaron’s suicide attempt. Aware all eyes are on them, they head back to Smithy where Aaron nervously asks Jackson if he’ll stay the night.

Eve offers to help out Carl at Pear Tree whilst Edna is off
Edna (Shirley Stelfox) worries that things will go to pot at the office without her so Eve (Suzanne Shaw) hastily offers to cover her position whilst she’s off.
Elsewhere:
• Paddy (Dominic Brunt) tells Marlon (Mark Charnock) to hurry up and make a move on Rhona (Zoe Henry)
• Leyla (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) has big ideas when she looks around the shop, however David (Matthew Wolfenden) is guilty at how he made her dream come true.
