I'm going to leave the channel as it is in case anyone wants the download links or to catch up with older material. At least until Youtube takes it down, but I won't be uploading to it anymore. Personally I don't agree with ITV's decison as I felt I was bringing their product to a national stage since their much-touted ITV player is geo locked to the UK only.

Monday 4th October

Aaron struggles to bury his resentment towards Jackson
The atmosphere starts to thaw between Aaron and Jackson but it’s clear there is still tension when Aaron feels patronised as Jackson congratulates him taming his temper recently.

Wednesday 6th October (hour long episode)

The van collides with an oncoming train
Still awkward with one another, Jackson is pleased when Aaron asks him on a night out. Paddy and Marlon also arrange a lad’s night and tag along with the Aaron and Jackson much to Aaron’s annoyance. The boys are amused by Paddy and Marlon’s reaction when they realise they are going to a gay bar. To save getting a taxi, Jackson offers to drive. However, in a terrible twist of fate, disaster strikes later that night when they lose control of the vehicle and crash onto a train track. As an oncoming train smashes into the car, one man’s life is left hanging in the balance. All four men get in the car that evening but one man will be left in jeopardy. Will it be hapless Marlon who has finally found love with Rhona? Might it be Paddy who has been Aaron’s rock throughout the trials and tribulations of the last year? Could it be Jackson who has just confessed the depth of his feelings for Aaron? Or will Aaron be the one to meet a tragic and untimely fate?

Aaron tries to intimidate Mickey when he heads round to his house with Clyde the dog and threatens him to stay away. Mickey reluctantly concedes to let things go, leaving Aaron triumphant.

Later, Mickey turns up outside Smithy, and realising nobody is looking, he gets his ferocious-looking dog out of the car. Hearing a bark, Mickey heads down the side of the house with his dog straining on his lead. The angry-looking dog looks desperate to get Clyde. Will Mickey get caught before it's too late?

Part 2: Youtube Megaupload

Aaron is gobsmacked when he finds Clyde in such a state. When Pearl mentions seeing Mickey with a dog earlier, Aaron is hell-bent on revenge. Jackson stops Aaron from going after Mickey, but is worried when Paddy reveals things don't look good for Clyde.

Later, Aaron's devastated when Paddy has to give Clyde the injection. Helpless, Paddy pulls a heartbroken Aaron into him as he sobs at the loss of his dog. Will this teach Aaron a lesson or will he seek revenge?

Keen to get his relationship with Jackson back on track, Aaron asks him on a night out. But he's annoyed when Paddy and Marlon decide to tag along...

But the men are taken by surprise when they realise they've just agreed to a night out in a gay bar. It doesn't look like they're enjoying it too much.

As the night comes to an end, the men all pile into Jackson's car to head back to the village. But disaster strikes when they lose control of the car on a level crossing.

There's carnage as an oncoming train ploughs into the side of the car, destroying the vehicle.

As the gang realise what's happened, one of them is left in a critical condition. But which of the four men is fighting for his life?

Cain turns on Aaron and is fuming that he's let it get this far. Aaron remains firm in not backing down, however he tries to look convincing when he tells Jackson and Paddy he will refund Mickey. Is Aaron in over his head?

David tries to come to terms with Leyla’s revelation
Leyla begs David for forgiveness and David is further confused when Pollard sides with Leyla. Later, Leyla is relieved when David doesn’t want to break up however they hit another wall then Leyla reveals Alicia and Jacob are staying and gives David an ultimatum that it’s all of them or nothing. What will David decide?

When they steal a charged moment together in the corridor, Abi slips Ryan a mobile phone to call Faye and they're dangerously close to a kiss. Will Ryan cross the thin blue line?

Declan proposes an alliance with Faye
Declan admits to a fraught Faye that he believes Ryan’s been framed by Nathan. He assures her that they share the desire to bring Natasha and Nathan down - he wants to see justice done and he'll do all he can to help her prove Ryan is innocent.

Leyla is gutted when Alicia decides to leave
David is still trying to work out what kind of relationship Leyla wants with Jacob and turns to Pollard for advice. However, Alicia is furious when she discovers Pollard knows the truth and insists she can't risk Jacob finding out - they're leaving the village ASAP.

Ryan is wary of his attraction to Abi
At the prison, a nervous Abi admits she’s taking a gamble and hopes Ryan’s worth it. Aware of how much she’s risking, he thanks her and it’s clear she is his one solace right now. Back in the village, Declan calls a truce with Natasha so he can attend the will reading but refuses to be civil to Nathan. Meanwhile, he offers Faye a top QC for Ryan and urges her to go the will reading to ensure the Wylde’s don't leave with everything.

Alicia admits she’s jealous of Leyla’s life
Leyla’s clearly troubled following her run in with Alicia. Meanwhile, David watches as Alicia leaves without saying bye. However, Leyla’s thrown when Alicia returns and admits she has nowhere to go. She comments that Leyla’s struck lucky with David and admits she's always been jealous of her. David isn’t sure though and still has reservations about Alicia.

• Katie comes clean about sleeping with Andy to Adele
• Diane swallows her pride and accepts a financial contribution from Victoria

5722 Thursday 30th September (episode 1)

Faye reveals her plans to contest the will
Ryan’s worried his cellmate has picked up on the closeness between him and Abi, but cant resist when she leads him somewhere private for a passionate clandestine moment. Meanwhile, at Home Farm, the will reading confirms the Wylde’s receive the bulk of Mark's fortune, but Faye and Declan coolly assert they are going to make sure they never see a penny.

Aaron feels too young for love
Aaron is awkward following Jackson’s admission that he’s in love with him and confides to Adam that he’s ruined everything. Meanwhile, Jackson frets that Aaron doesn’t love him back whilst Chas and Hazel worry about them.

John interrupts Hannah and Isaac kissing
John agrees to let Isaac come round for a study session with Hannah. However, he’s a little shocked when he walks in on them kissing and Hannah’s relieved that John interrupted their heated moment.

• Adam is relieved Holly isn’t in when Moira suggests they make a detour after shopping in town
• Leyla is conflicted when she disagrees with Alicia's advice to Jacob after he's bullied on his first day of school.
• Chas is getting increasingly suspicious of Carl's "work phone" and asks Charity if she's noticed anything suss, she advise Chas that if she’s worried she should read his texts

5723 Thursday 30th September (ep 2)

Declan reveals his hand to a stunned Natasha
Natasha's shocked and furious when Declan sides with Faye, who coolly informs her that the money will be tied up for years in probate unless she forces Nathan to come clean. The pressure mounts on Natasha as Faye presses her for an answer, while Declan tells her to stop kidding herself – they all know Nathan is guilty. When Natasha refuses, Faye announces that she has until the trial to decide what to do. Later, Faye realises Nathan has been kept in the dark about their proposition when Nathan confronts her about what she’s up to.

Abi and Ryan are caught in a clinch
Ryan panics when his cellmate, Curtis, catches him with Abi and accuses them of having a fling. He demands Ryan hand over the phone she's given him but Ryan stands firm. Back in their cell, Ryan takes a serious beating from him but can't resist a kiss with Abi later in the hospital wing. Will Ryan quit his dangerous affair before it gets him in more trouble?

Charity discovers Carl’s affair phone and breaks the news to Chas
As Charity jokes about Carl being up to no good, she sneakily pours a drink over his jacket and takes it to the loos. However, as she sits in the toilets looking through his text messages she's horrified to see Chas' suspicions were justified and breaks the news to her friend that Carl has another woman.

Also:
• Hannah confides in Victoria that she hasn't slept with Isaac. She reassures her that she shouldn’t have sex if she's not ready for it
• Dan tells Holly some people popped round to see her yesterday but he didn’t answer the door, Holly admits she saw them but hid. Angry, Dan gives Holly some money to pay her parents to stop them "popping round" again
• Andy worries he's blown it with Adele
• Hazel’s embarrassed when Chas notices she fancies Bob

5724 Friday 1st October

John’s not convinced by Holly’s gesture
Nervous Holly arrives at Butlers and gives herself a quick fix in the barn before facing her family. Handing back Moira's heirloom ring, she claims she's back on track and wanted to make it up to them. John and Moira know that she was high and refusing to be fobbed off, John decides to go to the flat to confront her. Dan reluctantly lets him in but John is struck by his blasé attitude towards Holly’s drug problem and accuses him of dealing. As John demands he stay away from his daughter, Dan tries to throw him out. Horrified Holly arrives back in the midst of the commotion and refuses to go with her dad, leaving him devastated his daughter has chosen this life over her family.

Faye won’t be intimidated out of contesting the will
Nathan tries to goad Faye as he test drives the flashy car he’s planning to buy when he gets his inheritance. Declan coolly asserts he’s kidding himself and later confronts him about his visit to Faye yesterday. Nathan covers but he’s clearly rattled by Declan’s threats. Meanwhile, Faye visits Ryan in prison and after seeing his bloodied face, she’s more determined than ever to bring Nathan and Natasha down.

Carl’s deception escalates
Carl lies to Chas that the phone belongs to Jimmy and the saucy texts were from his admirer. When Chas isn't convinced about why he's been so secretive recently he covers that he's been looking into a surprise holiday for her. Chas buys it and ends up feeling guilty for spoiling his gesture but it’s clear Carl is in too deep when she fills the cynical Charity in on Jimmy’s secret and her romantic break.

Also:
• Leyla and Alicia continue to spar as Alicia fails to get a job and Leyla disapproves of her parenting
• Bob asks Hazel out for a meal, Hazel agrees thinking it’s just a mate thing. However, Bob remains chuffed throughout the day thinking he’s got a date.

Aaron sees Holly in Hotten and finds out she's working in a bar. He can't believe the state she is in and confronts her about tearing her family apart, but she's defiant and refuses to listen. Aaron later tells Moira where she's working, which leaves her shocked and torn about what to do. Meanwhile, Paddy insists that Aaron make things right with Pearl. However, Cain isn't happy with Aaron's refund, so tells him he's charging interest for every day Aaron has the car.

5713 Monday 20th September

Aaron sells a dodgy car to a well known thug
It’s Aaron’s lucky day when Mickey arrives in the village and takes a shine to Aaron’s dodgy fiesta. Aaron’s chuffed when he manages to sell the car to him. However, Mickey soon returns to the village and confronts Aaron about the clocked car. Aaron refuses to give in and as Mickey saunters off it’s clear this isn’t over yet.

John and Moira pay lying Holly a surprise visit
John and Moira decide to pay Holly a visit at the address she gave them. Dishevelled, she lets them in and Moira’s doubtful when she says she’s fine. The atmosphere is tense as John and Moira try to remain cheerful. Moira questions Holly about her living arrangements but Holly is defensive and feeds them another lie. Later, Holly’s boyfriend Dan arrives home and offers her a wrap, she regards it with temptation. It’s clear Holly isn’t clean at all and that Dan isn‘t helping, will John and Moira find out eventually?

Bob’s oblivious to Lizzie’s affection
Marlon is excited by the spark between Bob and Lizzie and teases Lizzie about her crush. He tries to persuade her to ask Bob out. Later, Bob agrees to go for a drink with Lizzie unaware that she thinks it’s a date.

• Rodney and Terry are amused when the mystery parcel turns out to be a studded dog collar and it belongs to Mickey
• Gennie and Katie tease Adele about still liking Andy when Adele questions Katie about her relationship with him
• Alicia finds a school for Jacob, confirming that she intends to stick around

5714 Tuesday 21st September

Katie realises she’s the reason for Andy’s pent up anger
Katie continues to help Andy and refuses to let him skip his counseling session so she insists on going along with him. Katie waits outside whilst Andy’s counselor gets started, Andy’s mood darkens when his counselor asks him to revisit past girlfriends. When Andy comes out he storms straight past Katie leaving her confused. She’s completely shocked when he blames her for everything but Katie refuses to leave his house until they talk. Meanwhile, Charity has bought Sarah round but Andy’s anger doesn’t subside. He’s frustrated when Katie refuses to accept responsibility for his problems and throws a cup against the wall.

Mickey is on the warpath but Aaron refuses to pay
Mickey insists he’ll be out of his life if he gets his refund but Aaron decides to front it out on the advice of Cain and tells Mickey to get lost. Meanwhile, Chas and Jackson worry about Aaron’s run in with Mickey and Chas threatens Cain to watch out for Aaron.

Hazel drops Lizzie in it with Bob
Marlon helps Lizzie prepare for her date whilst Bob remains oblivious. At the pub, Marlon and Hazel observe from afar and Hazel isn’t convinced they share a spark. When Bob returns to the bar, Hazel lets slip that Lizzie thinks it’s a date.

• Ryan is intrigued when Faye tells him Abi always had a word with her about him when Faye visits. Later, when Abi brings Ryan some snacks it’s clear there is an attraction between them

5715 Wednesday 22nd September

Andy tries to sort things with Katie
Andy tries to make it up to Sarah for what she saw last night by showering her with treats. Later, Katie turns up at Andy’s to give him a chance to talk, she’s sympathetic when he goes through all the mistakes he’s made in the past. As the emotions run high, Katie and Andy find themselves clinched in a moment of passion and revisit familiar ground when they end up in bed together.

Aaron’s quietly planning his revenge on Mickey
No prizes for guessing who was responsible when Rodney and Terry discover their Mercedes and taxi office has been viciously vandalised as well as all the cars on the garage forecourt. Cain turns on Aaron and is fuming he’s let it get this far. Aaron remains firm in not backing down, however he tries to look convincing when he tells Jackson and Paddy he will refund Mickey. Is Aaron in over his head?

Eve is unnerved to interrupt Chas and Carl
Eve is tempted by Carl when he insinuates they continue the affair, however when she arrives home at lunch to surprise him she is disturbed when Chas comes downstairs in a dressing gown. It’s clear Eve’s interrupted their afternoon of passion and Eve is left stunned by her sudden jealousy and feelings for Carl. Has Eve fallen for the wrong guy?

• Charity dissuades Cain from confronting Andy when Sarah reveals Andy scared her by losing his temper
• Abi warns Ryan about a surprise search later so to hide the crisp packets she gave him, as she searches him they share secret glances

5716 Thursday 23rd September (ep 1)

Aaron’s bid to stand up to Mickey goes horribly wrong
Aaron tries to intimidate Mickey when he heads round to his house with Clyde the dog and threatens him to stay away. Mickey reluctantly concedes to let things go leaving Aaron triumphant. Later, Mickey turns up outside Smithy and realising noone is looking he gets his ferocious looking dog out of the car. Hearing a bark, Mickey heads down the side of the house with his dog straining on his lead. The angry looking dog looks desperate to get Clyde. Will Mickey get caught before it’s too late?

Katie urges Andy to understand last night was a mistake
Katie arrives home in last night’s clothes and lies to Adele that she spent the night with Declan. Meanwhile, Diane warns Andy to be careful when he tells her about his night with Katie. When Diane sees Katie she suggests she tell Andy the truth after Katie confirms she can’t get into a relationship with Andy. Will Andy feel the same?

Eve and Edna tentatively reconcile
Edna brings Eve the final divorce papers from her husband James and notices that Eve is upset. Eve confides to Edna about her ‘married man’ and Edna insists she cares about Eve and doesn’t want to see her hurt. She asks Eve to move back in but Eve can’t bring herself to move out of Carl’s. Meanwhile, Carl is frustrated by Eve’s persistent abstinence.

Also:
• Bob’s awkward when Lizzie suggests another date, he just rushes out instead of coming clean. Later spurred on by Hazel, Bob is honest with Lizzie who tries hard to hide her devastation

5717 Thursday 23rd September (ep 2)

Aaron loses Clyde and Jackson through his own stupidity
Aaron is gobsmacked when he finds Cylde in such a state. When Pearl mentions seeing Mickey with a dog earlier Aaron is hell bent on revenge. Jackson stops Aaron going after Mickey but is worried when Paddy reveals things don’t look good for Clyde. Later, Aaron’s devastated when Paddy has to give Clyde the injection. Helpless, Paddy pulls heartbroken Aaron into him as he sobs at the loss of his dog. Will this teach Aaron a lesson or will he seek revenge?

Eve wants to cool things for a while with Carl
Eve is touched when Edna offers to cook her tea, she reluctantly agrees to meet Carl after. Meanwhile, Carl storms out when suspicious Jimmy questions him about his relationship with Eve. Later, Eve informs Carl she is returning to France for a while so she can sort things with her ex and give them some space.

Justin arrives to win Alicia back
Leyla’s worried when she lets slip to Justin that Alicia is staying with her. He swiftly arrives in the village to see Jacob and talk to Alicia. Meanwhile, Leyla’s anxious about explaining it all to David when he returns. When Justin leaves, Alicia informs Leyla that she and Jacob will leave before David comes back.

• Rhona is torn when she has to go meet Marlon but wants to help Paddy with Clyde
• Lizzie is clearly hurt after Bob revealed he wasn’t interested

5718 Friday 24th September

Leyla can’t bear to see Alicia and Jacob go
Leyla spends the day with Jacob whilst Alicia tries to sort somewhere else to go however it is clear Leyla has got used to having her son around and is desperate for him and Alicia to stay. Meanwhile, David returns and demands that Leyla tell him what’s really going on. Alicia quickly spills the beans to avoid anymore confusion and David is left completely stumped. Devastated that Leyla has lied to him for so long, David isn’t sure he can be with her anymore. Is this it for Leyla and David?

Clyde was the final straw for Jackson
Jackson’s had enough of Aaron’s vendetta against Mickey and decides to move into Andy’s. Aaron tries to make amends but when Jackson tells him he thrives on confrontation he storms out. His anger building, Aaron decides he needs to get Mickey back for what he’s done.

Jimmy is onto Carl about Eve
Carl tries to steal a moment alone with Eve before she leaves but Chas interrupts as Eve gets in her taxi. Later, Carl is batting insinuations when Jimmy warns him Chas isn’t one to be crossed. Carl knows his card’s been marked but just can’t help himself.

• Doug finds himself offloading his worries about Leyla onto Diane. She’s saddened when he abruptly excuses himself

5707 Monday 13th September

Declan confronts Natasha, accusing Nathan of murder
Nathan is worried about Natasha and Declan’s relationship and tells Natasha he’s using her to get information. Meanwhile, Declan confides in Nikhil that he can see a future with Natasha is he can get rid of Nathan. Later, Nathan confronts Declan who quickly shows him whose boss and floors Nathan when he tries to punch him. Arriving at Home Farm, he tells Natasha everything he knows and asks her to come clean, when Natasha denies everything he tells her they’re finished.

A betrayed Moira decides its time for tough love and changes the locks
John is furious when he finds Adam changing the locks under Moira’s instruction. However, Moira makes John see the implications and admits the Holly she knew doesn’t exist anymore and she has no right to be in their house after what she’s done.

Eve refuses to sleep with Carl under Chas’s roof
Eve is upset about having to lie to Edna and is uncomfortable at Mill Cottage having to witness Chas and Carl all over each other. When Chas is out of sight, he makes advances on Eve who’s appalled and insists this wont be happening under Chas’s roof. Meanwhile, Edna confides to Chas about Eve’s money problems and asks her to keep an eye on her.

Also:
• Diane and Victoria return from Spain, Diane feels she’s been a fool and needs the money from the sale of the pub asap
• Andy confesses his recent problems to a shocked Victoria.

5708 Tuesday 14th September

Diane is devastated when Nicola and Jimmy pull out of the pub sale
Jimmy is floored when Nicola admits she doesn’t want the pub life anymore, he’s incredulous at her change of heart just as he’s enjoying himself. However, when she starts to get upset about missing out on Angelica and the family he is torn. As they tentatively approach Diane about it she explodes and screams at them to get out. How will Diane pay off her debts now?

Aaron and Jackson decide to try living together permanently
Aaron and Jackson return from holiday and confide to Hazel that they may try to live together permanently. However, they hit a rocky patch when Jackson sabotages Aaron’s attempt to sell Pearl the dodgy car.

Nathan is fuming when Declan sacks him
Declan arrives at Home Farm to talk business, he may have left Natasha but he still owns the company and wants Nathan out. She is dismayed at his coldness when he fires Nathan and reopens the estate.

• Hannah doesn’t admit to Victoria that she and Isaac haven’t slept together, while Adam is worried about Holly
• Eve is torn when Carl comes onto her after Chas leaves them alone together, she remains adamant though and tells him to leave her alone

• Abi introduces Ryan to his new cell mate Curtis, much to her amusement

5709 Wednesday 15th September

Declan makes it clear that he’s in charge of the business
Despite the mess at Home Farm, Declan isn’t prepared to walk away from a profitable business and makes it clear to Natasha that he’s in control. Nathan and Natasha offer to buy him out but Declan asserts he’s not going anywhere and will stay until they’re forced to sell their 49%. When will Nathan and Natasha realise they are not invincible?

Leyla’s panicked to learn jilted Alicia is after her blood
Doug and Leyla comfort each other at work over the state of their love lives. As they’re closing up Justin arrives to tell Leyla it’s over between him and Alicia and she knows they met in secret. Leyla’s unnerved at the prospect of her raging sister on the warpath.

Diane faces the music
Diane lowers the asking price for the Woolpack in the hope of tempting a new buyer. When Victoria offers to find a job instead of returning to college, Diane asks her to contribute rent. Meanwhile, Nicola is feeling guilty as word spreads that her and Jimmy won’t be buying the pub.

• Diane and Moira share a knowing look when they see Bob and Hazel flirting

5710 Thursday 16th September (ep 1)

Alicia forces Leyla to face her past
Leyla panics when a furious Alicia arrives in the shop with Jacob and accuses her of wrecking her marriage in front of Pollard and Doug. In Farrer’s, an irate Alicia accuses Leyla of robbing Jacob of his family life. Leyla protests her marriage problems are her own doing, but Alicia cuts her deep when she asserts that their mother would hate her if she was alive. It comes to a head when Leyla slaps Alicia and their hatred comes spilling out. Leyla cruelly spits that the real reason Alicia hates her so much is because she’s Jacob’s real mother. How will Leyla explain she has a son to David? Is Alicia right to be worried?

Aaron tells Moira he’s found Holly
Aaron sees Holly in Hotten and finds out she’s working in a bar. He can’t believe the state she is in and confronts her about tearing her family apart, but she’s defiant and refuses to listen. Back in the village, he tells Moira where she’s working which leaves her shocked and torn about what to do.
Declan rubs salt in Nathan’s wounds
Declan is defiant as he offers Nicola Nathan’s job and takes pleasure in humiliating Nathan in front of his former employees.

Also:
• Hannah is relieved Isaac isn’t going to push her into having sex and the village gossips pass comment when they see them kissing
• Pearl buys the clocked car from Aaron and Jackson’s shocked he’s conned an old lady. Aaron’s put out when Paddy and Jackson gang up on him for duping Pearl
• Diane looks to earn some money for her loan by selling her car
• Paddy agrees to put Hazel and Jackson up indefinitely

5711 Thursday 16th September (ep 1)

Alicia ramps up the emotional blackmail on Leyla
Alicia continues to tear into Leyla as they argue about why Leyla left. As their anger turns to hurt the mood softens and Alicia reveals her and Jacob have nowhere to stay. Leyla knows she has no choice and tells her they can stay with her until David comes back. Has Leyla set herself up for a fall?

A furious Moira finds Holly
Moira turns up at the bar Holly works in and is angered to see how carefree she is. Confronting her about robbing her own family, Moira fumes when she shows no shame. Holly begs her not to cause a scene but Moira drags her out of the bar and into her car. Holly denies stealing the ring but Moira is enraged and tells her they are going for a drive.

Aaron is forced to be honest with Pearl
Paddy insists that Aaron make things right with Pearl however Cain isn’t happy with Aaron’s refund so tells him he’s charging interest for every day Aaron has the car.
Also:
• Carl and Eve pick up where they left off when they’re alone in the office however Eve is relieved when Jimmy interrupts them and it’s clear she is finding living under the same roof as Carl and Chas hard

5712 Friday 17th September
Moira hands Holly over to the police
Holly’s panicked when Moira drives her to the police station and asks them to arrest her for theft. John is stunned when he realises Moira has shopped their own daughter, however the PC suggests she needs counselling rather than punishment. Moira concedes not to press charges and PC Swirling scares Holly before releasing her. Tear stained Holly appears and explains why she stole from them and how sorry she is, but they’re shocked when she makes it clear she has no intention of coming home with them. She hands them her address leaving John and Moira anxious about what they’ll find when they visit. Will Holly ever come home?

Alicia warns Leyla if Jacob learns the truth he’ll hate her
Leyla is stumped when Alicia makes it clear she’s staying whether Leyla likes it or not. Leyla heads to the pub to escape, however she’s at a loss when her friends head out on a girl’s night and she’s left reeling at the thought of her sister sticking around and David finding out the truth.

Terry finds a mystery parcel in the back of his cab
Terry’s chauffeur business is keeping him busy, however he realises a client has left a package on the back seat. He orders Rodney to find out who it belongs to but their search turns out fruitless as they ponder what could be in the package.

• Andy is excited about Sarah coming to stay and Adele is miffed when she notices the warmth between him and Katie whilst they talk about his daughter’s visit
• Bob and Marlon worry about Diane’s breeziness and cost cutting at the pub, whilst Victoria gets a job at the B&B
• Lizzie and Bob are getting along well and enjoy a walk in the country

Aaron's delighted when he sells his dodgy fiesta to local thug Mickey, and boasts to boss Cain.

But Mickey's soon back – he's not happy that he's been sold a clocked motor. Aaron refuses to give him a refund though, much to Cain's annoyance.

When Mickey starts issuing threats, however, Aaron heads over to his house with Clyde the dog, hoping to intimidate the thug.

But when Aaron later finds Clyde seriously injured, he's distraught, realising Mickey is behind it. Is he about to lose his beloved dog?

Ep 5677 Monday 9th August

A terrified Ryan faces his day in court
Ryan (James Sutton) despairs as his solicitor briefs him on what to expect from today’s hearing. Meanwhile, Cain (Jeff Hordley) is in turmoil as he decides to go and support Ryan in court. At Home Farm, Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) coldly warns Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) to stay away from court, but ignoring her, he arrives just as Ryan pleads not guilty. Cain turns to see Nathan smirking as Ryan is refused bail. Distraught, Faye (Kim Thomson) reels at what is happening and angrily confronts a smug Nathan, will he get his comeuppance?

Holly firmly denies the extent of her problems to Adam
Aaron (Danny Miller) mentions his concern about Holly to Adam (Adam Thomas), who takes it upon himself to search her handbag while she’s asleep. She wakes up and catches him but as Adam confronts her she’s furious at his lack of trust and firmly denies that she is back on drugs.
Andy broods over not getting to spend time alone with Adele
Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) and Adele (Tanya Vital) enjoy lunch in the café but its clear Andy is annoyed when Lizzie (Kitty McGeever) invites herself to sit with them. Adele calls him on it and leaves him deflated when she makes her excuses not to see him tonight.

Ep 5678 Tuesday 10th August

Paddy and Rhona’s work brings them closer
Marlon (Mark Charnock) is fuming when his romantic afternoon with Rhona is interrupted by Paddy who needs her help on an emergency call out. In reality, Paddy needs her to save him from an over amorous client by pretending she’s his girlfriend. She rumbles him for making her come along for protection and they head back to Smithy with some wine. Later, Rhona tipsily plants a platonic kiss on Paddy’s lips as she leaves, but is perturbed to find she has feelings for him. Will Rhona be able to bury her feelings about Paddy?

Leyla reveals the relationship with her sister is fractured
Leyla (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) finally lets David (Matthew Wolfenden) in and admits she feels guilty that she was angry at her mother for not recognising her when she fell ill. Later, David pushes to know about her sister, but Leyla clams up and insists they are two very different people. He’s left worried that Leyla is hiding something.

Cain vents his guilt about Ryan
Charity (Emma Atkins) insists that Cain needs to keep quiet when he explains about Ryan and his predicament with the wallet. However, Cain‘s guilt rises as Faye (Kim Thomson) tells him she has some doubts about her son.

Also:
• Hannah (Grace Cassidy) enjoys spending time with Isaac (Jake Roche), but is disappointed when she thinks he fancies Victoria (Jake’s first appearance on screen)

Ep 5679 Wednesday 11th August
Leyla is rocked by Alicia’s visit (Natalie’s first appearance on screen)
Leyla (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) is stunned when her sister Alicia (Natalie Anderson) turns up and sternly warns her to stay away from the funeral. After she leaves, Leyla is shaken and snaps at David (Matthew Wolfenden) when he tries to help. He tries to convince her to attend the funeral despite her sister. Will Leyla listen to David or Alicia?

Marlon is hurt that Rhona stood him up to celebrate with Paddy
Pearl (Meg Johnson) is annoyed that Rhona (Zoe Henry) and Paddy (Dominic Brunt) are hung-over and drops them in it with Marlon. He is visibly hurt as Rhona squirms realising she should have called him. She’s relieved when he later forgives her and insists they spend tonight together instead.

A traumatised Faye finally visits Ryan in prison
Ryan is (James Sutton) grateful when the prison guard, Abi (Catherine Tyldesley), kindly gives him a book to read. He’s pleased to see Faye (Kim Thomson), but is depressed to learn Will (Oscar Lloyd) and Maisie (Alice Coulthard) think he killed Mark. Faye hastily backtracks when she asks an exhausted Ryan if there’s any truth in the allegations. If Faye doesn’t believe him, who will?

Also:
• Andy’s (Kelvin Fletcher) suspicions continue to grow when Adele (Tanya Vital) has to babysit again but refuses a lift there. Later, he shares his concerns with Katie (Sammy Winward) but she brushes him off and tells him not to be paranoid
• Terry (Billy Hartman) and Brenda (Lesley Dunlop) lightly discuss new business ventures

Ep 5680 Thursday 12th August (Ep 1)
Leyla faces her mum’s funeral
Leyla (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) tells a confused David (Matthew Wolfenden) that she’s going to the funeral alone. At the crematorium, Alicia (Natalie Anderson) is fuming when Leyla comes to sit with her at the front. She rejects any comfort from Leyla and asserts that now their mother is gone she wants nothing more to do with Leyla. She coolly tells Leyla to do what she wants with the ashes, before leaving Leyla alone and distraught.

Rhona pushes to get quality time with Marlon
Rhona (Zoe Henry) decides to hire bikes for her and Marlon for the day and saucily insists they cycle to a secluded spot. However, she gets a puncture followed by a call out and has to leave Marlon with her bike and a puncture kit. When he finally arrives back he is furious at the day he’s had much to Paddy (Dominic Brunt) and Rhona’s amusement.

Andy stresses over not getting to see Adele when he wants
Katie (Sammy Winward) is worried by Andy’s (Kelvin Fletcher) intense mood when he misses meeting Adele (Tanya Vital) for lunch.

Leyla (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) arrives home after the funeral but its clear something is playing on her mind. She closes the shop, and finds herself outside her mother’s house watching Alicia (Natalie Anderson) and her husband, Justin (Andrew Langtree) say goodbye to the last of the mourners. As Justin catches her eye, he quickly heads over and tells her to leave.

Jackson introduces Aaron to his mum Hazel (Pauline’s first appearance on screen)
Aaron (Danny Miller) is bemused when Jackson (Marc Silcock) introduces him to his mum Hazel (Pauline Quirke) and informs him that Paddy (Dominic Brunt) said it’d be okay for them to stay at Smithy for a while. Paddy is confused when Aaron questions why he’s agreed to let them stay.
Andy is struggling to control his paranoia
Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) is put out when laid-back Adele (Tanya Vital) invites lonely Gennie (Sian Reese-Williams) out with them. He lets his possessiveness get the better of him and Adele is annoyed by his mood. She refuses to follow him when he storms off and concedes he’s a bit too intense.

Leyla makes peace with her mum
Leyla (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) and David (Matthew Wolfenden) set out to scatter her mum’s ashes and Leyla is horrified when some of the ashes spill onto the back seat of their car. David comforts Leyla as the remainder of the ashes blow away and she relays fond memories of her mother. Later, at the shop Leyla is surprised when Justin turns up and is taken aback when he claims he just wanted to make sure she was okay. She lies to David that he’s just a sales rep before Justin hastily leaves.

Andy’s anger begins to well up
Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) attempts to apologise to Adele (Tanya Vital) for last night and invites her round. However, he’s put out when she has arranged a girl’s night with Katie (Sammy Winward) and Gennie (Sian Reese-Williams). Later, Katie’s concerned when she spots Andy spying on them.

Aaron is struggling to cope with the living arrangements at Smithy
Hazel (Pauline Quirke) is making a real effort with Aaron (Danny Miller) but questions Jackson (Marc Silcock) about Aaron’s surliness. Hazel is left curious as to what Jackson sees in Aaron when he’s out rightly rude to her. Frustrated, Jackson tells Aaron he’s booking his mum into the B&B and going on holiday to give Aaron some space.

Coming up in Emmerdale, Jackson delivers some surprise news to Aaron - explaining that Paddy has agreed to let him and mum Hazel (played by Pauline Quirke) stay at Smithy for a while.

Aaron appears less than impressed by the news, and soon quizzes Paddy about why he made the offer.

As Hazel gets to know Aaron, it's not long before she's experienced his moody ways and she starts to wonder what her son sees in the mechanic.

Could the situation cause problems for Aaron and Jackson?

The Dingles give Shadrach a good send off

Carl and Eve fight their mutual attraction
Carl (Tom Lister) breaks down on a job and Eve (Suzanne Shaw) kindly offers to go get him for Chas (Lucy Pargeter). Flirty Eve saves the day and later Carl tries to repay her by giving her some money. She adamantly informs him she isn’t taking the money but still seductively insists he owes her. How much longer can Carl fight temptation?

An excited Leyla opens her own shop
Leyla’s officially opens its doors for the first time, but Leyla (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) is disappointed by the instant lack of custom.

Carl helps Eve’s money worries
Carl tells a furious Eve that he knows about her money troubles. He uses her collecting him yesterday as an excuse to give her some cash and they share a charged moment before Chas (Lucy Pargeter) interrupts. Is Carl getting in too deep?

Leyla finds it hard to run the shop single handedly
Leyla’s struggles on its second day of trading and Leyla (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) is touched when Doug (Duncan Preston) buys some groceries he doesn’t need. Later, she’s frustrated when she shuts the shop to go to the loo and misses out on some custom. She resolves to be more professional and is determined to make it work.

Wednesday 4th August

The police shift their attention to an oblivious Ryan
The police confirm the DNA on the chain is Ryan’s (James Sutton) and begin questioning Katie (Sammy Winward) about his whereabouts on the night of Mark’s murder. Meanwhile, Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) quietly wonders if their plan is coming to fruition when Faye (Kim Thomson) is taken to the police station. But when Faye can’t confirm Ryan’s alibi, the police head straight to the garage and arrest Ryan on suspicion of murder.

Carl’s attraction to Eve grows
Scarlett (Kelsey-Beth Crossley) vents to Eve (Suzanne Shaw) about how much Carl (Tom Lister) belittles her and Eve sneakily uses it as a chance to flirt as she offers him advice about dealing with Scarlett. Carl’s attempts to make it up to Scarlett fail, but he doesn’t care as long as he’s in Eve’s good books. Will Carl’s infatuation subside or will it get the better of him?

Aaron tries to prove himself to Cain but fails
Aaron (Danny Miller) uses money from the garage petty cash to buy the car to do up and sell on. Cain (Jeff Hordley) is not happy and takes pleasure in informing Aaron that the car has been clocked. Aaron is pleased when Jackson (Marc Silcock) insists he has faith in him.

An irate Natasha realises Nathan has set Ryan up
Ryan (James Sutton) is deeply unnerved as the police question him and he can’t explain why his chain was near Mark’s grave. Meanwhile, the police begin to search Dale View and when they discover Ryan’s jacket is covered in gun residue, it’s clear he’s going nowhere fast. Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) is incredulous to realise Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) set Ryan up instead of Faye (Kim Thomson), but he dismisses her and smugly triumphs at his plan coming together. Will Natasha save innocent Ryan?

Downhearted, Nicola realises she’s messed up at the pub
Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) is at a loss when she signs for a beer delivery and Bob (Anthony Audenshaw) points out she’s ordered too much and it’s nearly reached its use by date. Luckily, Val (Charlie Hardwick) saves the day and Nicola reluctantly agrees to thank her whilst Jimmy (Nick Miles) agrees he will take time off to help with the pub. Is the pub too much for Nicola?

Jimmy learns that Carl has bailed Eve out
Jimmy fumes at Carl (Tom Lister) for giving Eve (Suzanne Shaw) cash and not telling Chas (Lucy Pargeter) about it.

The police want to keep Ryan (James Sutton) in as long as they can and attain a search warrant for the garage. Cain (Jeff Hordley) is troubled when the police find a patch of recently dug earth and when they uncover a gun, Cain is asked to make a statement. At the police station, Ryan is sure he has been set up but his pleas fall on deaf ears. Meanwhile, Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) taunts Cain about Ryan, and leaves him tormented by his knowledge that Ryan is the innocent one in this mess. But will Cain find the strength to do the right thing and tell the police about the wallet?

Holly’s annoyed at Adam’s continued mistrust
Holly (Sophie Powles) tries to paint a picture of innocence as she offers to baby sit for Viv (Deena Payne) and Bob’s (Anthony Audenshaw) twins. Impressed, Moira (Natalie J Robb) lends her some money to go out with Roz (Kirsty Leigh-Porter), whilst Adam (Adam Thomas) chastises Holly for remaining friends with her. Out of earshot, Holly calls Roz and arranges to buy some pills. Will Holly ever learn?

Jimmy helps to smooth the waters between Nicola and Val
Jimmy (Nick Miles) pushes Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) to realise they need Val’s (Charlie Hardwick) help, and she reluctantly apologises.

Friday 6th August

As the pressure mounts, Ryan is charged with murder
Ryan (James Sutton) desperately tries to maintain his innocence as Faye (Kim Thomson) hires him a decent solicitor. Meanwhile, Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) guiltily comforts Maisie (Alice Coulthard) who is struggling to cope. At the police station, Ryan comes to the conclusion that Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) framed him, but is trapped when all the forensics confirm that he killed Mark. Ryan is charged with murder, and as the news spreads through the village Faye is on the brink as she insists she will prove Ryan’s innocent.

Holly steals Viv’s valium whilst babysitting her children

Holly is hung over and not feeling up to working in the pub, she heads to the toilets for a pick me up. Later, she’s wired as she listens to Viv’s (Deena Payne) instructions for babysitting. After putting the twins to bed, Holly notices some pills on the shelf, realising its Valium she pops a couple and hearing the door go she quickly pockets them. On her way home, the Valium is kicking in and Holly starts to feel drowsy, Aaron (Danny Miller) realises Holly is on something and confronts her but she quickly dismisses him. Will Holly get caught out?

Leyla receives some tragic news about her mum
Leyla (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) leaves Doug in charge of the shop when she has to rush off to tend to her mum. When she returns, David (Matthew Wolfenden) and Doug comfort her as she reveals her mum has passed away.

DISHY Danny Miller, who plays Emmerdale mechanic Aaron Livesy, has found wheel-life love with new co-star Kirsty Leigh Porter.

We can reveal the pair are smitten - despite Kirsty only arriving on set as drug-dealing wild child Roz Fielding in late April.
Danny's romance with the pretty 21-year-old will dismay his army of male admirers who love his portrayal of the village's gay motorhead.
Last night a source revealed: "Danny and Kirsty are head over heels in love.
"They had been keeping it quiet until they were sure their feelings were strong."
Danny, 19, lives in Manchester with co-star Adam Thomas but has just bought his first house.
But a friend added: "It's early days for Kirsty to be moving in with Danny. But they're spending every waking moment together so who knows in the future?"

The hunt for Mark Wylde's murderer takes a shocking twist this week, when a gold chain belonging to Ryan is found near the site where the body was dug up.

At the garage, the cops explain that they're taking Ryan in for questioning, leaving the mechanic stunned – he knows nothing about his dad's murder.

Up at the Dingle homestead, the grieving clan gather to say a fond farewell to poor Shadrach following his recent passing.

It's an emotional day for Shadrach's daughters, Chas and Gennie. But at least they have the rest of their family to lean on in their time of need.

Meanwhile, Adam is suspicious when he sees Holly hanging out with Roz again, and berates her for still being friends with the druggie.

Seeing the girls flaked out on the sofa, Adam suspects they have taken something. Have they been up to their old tricks again?

Adele throws an impromptu housewarming party at Victoria Cottage. Holly turns up with Adam but is quickly bored as it's not the kind of party she's used to.

Holly finds Scarlett's purse and pockets it, before suggesting to Roz that they head off into town for a night out. On their way out, Holly throws Scarlett's purse away to make it look like Scarlett lost it.

Having seen Holly dispose of the purse, a fuming Aaron confronts Holly, before letting Adam know that his sister is a druggie and a thief. Adam's rocked by the news and leaves Holly panicking while he decides what to do.

The nominations for the 15th annual Inside Soap Awards have been announced.

Readers have the chance to vote in 15 categories from today, to determine a shortlist which will be announced in September. New gongs this year include the 'Best Daytime' category, 'Best Wedding' and 'Best Stunt'.

EastEnders star Lacey Turner (Stacey Branning) is in the running to scoop 'Best Actress' for the fifth year in a row. She faces competition from fellow Walford stars Nina Wadia (Zainab Masood) and Diane Parish (Denise Johnson). Coronation Street is represented by Sally Dynevor (Sally Webster), Alison King (Carla Connor) and Katherine Kelly (Becky McDonald). Amanda Donohoe (Natasha Wylde) and Carley Stenson (Steph Cunningham) are among those nominated from Emmerdale and Hollyoaks respectively.

Last year's victor, Coronation Street's Gray O'Brien (Tony Gordon), will be hoping to defend the 'Best Actor' title against fellow Street stars Chris Gascoyne (Peter Barlow) and Simon Gregson (Steve McDonald). Meanwhile, Ashley Taylor Dawson (Darren Osborne), Kieron Richardson (Ste Hay) and Glen Wallace (Malachy Fisher) will fight Hollyoaks' corner, while Danny Miller adds another nomination to his collection for his role as Emmerdale's Aaron Livesy. The Yorkshire soap's Dominic Brunt (Paddy Kirk) and Jeff Hordley (Cain Dingle) also receive nods. Rounding out the group are Albert Square's Nitin Ganatra (Masood Ahmed), Don Gilet (Lucas Johnson) and Scott Maslen (Jack Branning) who scooped the prize at this year’s British Soap Awards.

Nominees for 'Best Young Actor'.are Corrie's Alex Bain (Simon Barlow), EastEnders' Maisie Smith (Tiffany Butcher) and Hollyoaks' Ellis Hollins (Tom Cunningham) among others.

After a disappointing awards season, Emmerdale's Danny Miller (Aaron Livesy) receives a 'Best Dramatic Performance' nomination for the episode in which Aaron admitted his sexuality to Paddy. Among Miller's competition is Alison King's Carla Connor during her final showdown with Tony in Coronation Street and Lacey Turner for scenes which saw 'Enders' Stacey Slater sectioned.

'Best Newcomer' nominees include EastEnders star Zoe Lucker (Vanessa Gold), Emmerdale's Marc Silcock (Jackson Walsh) and Coronation Street's Cherrylee Houston, who stars as the show's first regular disabled character Izzy Armstrong.

EastEnders' John Partridge (Christian Clarke) will not be defending his 'Sexiest Male' win from last year. Those in the running this year include Partridge's co-stars Scott Maslen and Neil McDermott (Ryan Malloy), along with Danny Miller and Rik Makarem (Nikhil Sharma) from Emmerdale.

Corrie's Michelle Keegan (Tina McIntyre) and Alison King will battle it out for 'Sexiest Female' alongside Albert Square's Zoe Lucker, who scores a second nomination despite having only appeared in a handful of episodes to date.

EastEnders' live episode marking its 25th birthday is recognised with a 'Best Exit' nomination for Charlie Clements (Bradley Branning) and a 'Best Stunt' nod for Bradley's death.

Clements's fellow 'Best Exit' nominees include Emmerdale's Maxwell Caulfield (Mark Wylde) and Hollyoaks' Ricky Whittle (Calvin Valentine).

Manwhile, Doctors, Home and Away and Neighbours will battle it out to be the first winner of the 'Best Daytime' soap award.

Stars including Neighbours' Jackie Woodburne (Susan Kennedy), Doctors' Selina Chilton (Ruth Pearce) and Home and Away's Luke Jacobz (Angelo Rosetta) will compete for the title of 'Best Daytime Star'.

Dales boss defends on-screen gay kiss

Emmerdale producer Gavin Blyth has defended scenes showing gay characters kissing.

A recent storyline has seen Dales character Aaron Livesy (Danny Miller) deal with his sexuality and begin a relationship with Jackson Walsh (Marc Silcock). The pair have been seen kissing on screen twice.

During a webchat with viewers, Blyth was asked if the soap needed to show "intimate gay kissing scenes" as the questioner thought "an awful lot of young children may be watching now and others who consider this to be inappropriate".

Responding to the comment, Blyth said: "I think it's important that the Aaron/Jackson relationship is treated in very much the same way that we treat a relationship between any of our characters.

"I hope you weren't too offended. It's all about character and we have to be true to that."

The producer recently told DS that Aaron and Jackson will feature in another major storyline later this year.

Holly heads out to a club with Aaron and Jackson and while there, she bumps into Roz. She's quickly drawn back into the drugs as Roz offers her some cocaine and before she knows it, she's agreed to one line.

A wired Holly admits to Roz that she was having such a good time at the club that she had another line and a pill. Later, Roz panics when she finds her in the toilet in a complete state.

Roz rushes to find Aaron who goes to Holly's side. In the cubicle, Holly's panicking that her heart is beating too fast and worries that she can't breathe. Aaron carries Holly back to Smithy but will he keep her overdose a secret from John and Moira?

Diane is determined to hurry through the sale of the pub
Keen to sell the pub and start her life with Charlie (George Costigan), Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) decides to lower the price determined to make it happen as soon as possible.
Maisie realises she’ll have to fight for Nikhil’s affections
Maisie (Alice Coulthard) worries to Katie (Sammy Winward) and Adele (Tanya Vital) that Nikhil’s (Rik Makarem) still not made a move on her.

Natasha pays off Cain and decides to confess
Natasha caves in and gives a smug Cain the money which she insists is a one time deal, but Cain knows there’s more where that came from. Back at Home Farm, Natasha crumbles, knowing if Cain doesn’t discover her secret someone else will. Nathan is worried to see her losing it and assures her they can do this together. But Natasha can’t take the lies any longer and decides she’s giving up the fight and will confess her sins. Nathan desperately tries to convince Natasha she’s making the wrong decision – it will tear apart her family if they learn she killed him Mark. However, Natasha can’t live the lie any longer – she’s tried but the truth will out one way or another and she wants to be in control.

Nikhil reveals his secret
Nikhil is annoyed when it seems Maisie has been talking to half the village about being unable to get close to him and when he confronts her she’s gutted to realise it’s over before it’s even begun. Later, Nikhil hits the roof when he overhears gossiping on the factory floor about his love life and storms home to cool down. When Jai arrives home, Nikhil finds the courage to confide in him. Jai’s stunned when Nikhil reveals the reason he’s reluctant to spend the night with Maisie, but urges him not to lose her over this. Will Nikhil tell Maisie the truth?

Carl struggles to resist Eve’s tempting touch
Chas and Carl are still struggling to get along and Carl takes a long distance driving job that’ll take him away for a few days. Eve continues to flirt and as she tells him how much she’s enjoyed working with him, the chemistry between them is palpable – Carl knows he needs to leave if he’s going to resist her.

Aaron hates lying to Adam about Holly’s drug habit
Aaron catches Holly trying to buy drugs from Roz outside the pub and is annoyed when she tells him she’s got it under control. He wrestles with conscience over whether to tell Adam. Meanwhile, Holly’s tempted to steal money from the till in the pub.

• Holly is bored with her cleaning job and is thrilled when Adam takes pity and gives her some money so she quickly calls Roz
• Andy and Adele get closer and she talks about moving in with Katie and Gennie.

Wednesday 14th July

Holly steals Scarlett’s purse to buy coke
Adele throws an impromptu housewarming party at Victoria Cottage and Holly goes with Adam but is bored when it’s not the kind of party she’s used to. She finds Scarlett’s purse and steals it, and suggests to Roz that they head off into town for a night out. Holly’s throws away the purse to make it look like Scarlett lost it. Roz is uncertain. Having seen Holly dispose of the purse a fuming Aaron confronts Holly. Furious that he’s been covering for her, he tells Adam his sister is a druggie and a thief. Adam is rocked by the news and leaves Holly panicking while he decides what to do.

Natasha gets her house in order to go to the police
Nathan can’t change Natasha’s mind and she tries to remain calm as she prepares ‘the last supper’ with the family, where she’s planning on confessing her sins to them. Nathan’s stunned as she reveals she’s made plans to safeguard their futures and asks him to be Will’s guardian. As the evening approaches she decides she wants one perfect night with her children and resolves to tell them in the morning.

Nikhil is determined to deal with his problem alone
Jai feels bad that he hasn’t been close enough to his brother for him to confide in him earlier.

Thursday 15th July

Natasha goes to the police station ready to confess
Natasha sits outside the police station in turmoil, but steels herself as she makes her way into the station to confess. Nathan arrives just as Natasha is walking in and pleads with her to stop. Will Nathan get through to his mother or will she remain determined and confess her murderous sin to the police?

Adam tries to get Holly to confess her drug problem to her parents
Aaron forces Holly to give Scarlett her wallet back and when Adam sees her lie her way out of another situation, he’s furious and demands she tell their parents about her problem. Horrified when John and Moira walk in on their argument, Holly silently implores Adam to keep quiet.

Diane resolves to get a loan to pay for the chateau
Doug tries to clear the air with Diane, but she doesn’t want to hear it and tells him Charlie was hiding something – the fact that he’s dying. Meanwhile, with no interest in the pub, Diane is worried they’re wasting valuable time and decides to visit the bank about getting a loan out against the pub.

Thursday 15th July part 2

Will Natasha confess?
Natasha is moved by Nathan’s plea but when he tells her someone else can take the blame, but she thinks it’s a ridiculous suggestion. Nathan implores her not to abandon her family, but will Natasha listen?

Adam refuses to have any sympathy for Holly
Conflicted, Adam lies to his parents and backs up Holly’s story that she was drunk last night. Later, as she bemoans the sorry state of her life, he tells her to clean up her act.

Diane’s determined to look to the future with Charlie
Diane has got the loan sorted and she and Charlie decide to leave for France next week.

• Marlon and Rhona try to encourage a despondent Shadrach to make the most of the time he has left and rebuild relationships with his family

Friday 16th July

Nathan deals with the fallout from Natasha’s decision

Marlon fails to make Shadrach see sense

Holly’s furious when Adam and Aaron approach Roz
Aaron and Adam take it upon themselves to talk to Roz about Holly. Holly rails at Adam to back off and insists she needs him to trust her and she needs her friends.

Emmerdale has reached new heights since the beginning of the year with story peaks that have included Mark Wylde's murder, Sally Spode's evil revenge on village vicar Ashley Thomas and Aaron's attempted suicide. Now firmly back on soap fans' viewing agenda, ITV's rural serial prepares for a dramatic second half of the year which sees the arrival of Pauline Quirke's character Hazel, Mark Wylde's body being discovered, Holly's drug habit spiralling out of control and heaps more. In our final Producer Season 2010 interview, Digital Spy catches up with series producer Gavin Blyth to learn more about what's to come in the months ahead.

Can you confirm that Danny Miller is staying with Emmerdale for the foreseeable future?

"I can! I'm already planning Aaron's story for spring 2011, so I'm delighted to say that Danny will be sticking around."

Where do Aaron and Jackson go from here?

"I don't want to make it a bed of roses for them from the off. There has to be a truth in it. They move forward as a couple but Aaron's journey continues - he'll not readily settle into a romantic situation immediately, he'll be tested and questions asked of him en route as to how he feels as he and Jackson get closer. It wouldn't be true if it was all too easy - and it won't be. The arrival of Jackson's mum Hazel adds another dimension to their story and the lads are already looking forward to working with Pauline Quirke as much as I am! Then we go into autumn/winter and there's one hell of a story coming their way."

Can you tell us any more?

"They're involved on and off in a third-hand way with Holly's drug story but that's all about friendship and helping friends. Aaron and Jackson's story, however, is one in their own right… It'll be quite something… It starts with an extension of where they are now and is borne out of who Aaron is. He is who he is and he has a temper. He blames those closest to him and pushes them away, even though it's not intentional. He doesn't know when he's on to a good thing… something he may live to regret."

Pauline Quirke was quite a coup - how did you manage to get her on board?

"I'm a huge fan of Pauline. She's someone who I could picture in the show. We met up for a coffee and chatted about character and story that would see her involved in the Aaron and Jackson story now and going forward. She has loved how that story has played out and we got on tremendously well. By the end of it, she'd decided that Emmerdale was right for her - and I was delighted to hear her say it!"

What can you tell us about Hazel?

"Hazel will be a character in her own right, not just bolted on to Aaron and Jackson. We get to understand who she is, what makes her tick and gain an insight into Jackson's past. She'll obviously then become involved in Aaron and Jackson's story at the start of winter. One that none of them see coming."

Ratings appear to have slipped a little since the beginning of the year… Are you concerned that the show's not maintained an audience above 7m?
"It's not a concern at all as we're usually so close to it. We hit our high - as pretty much every soap did - in those bleak winter months at the beginning of the year. We now have to be sensible in our expectations and some of our audience shares over the last couple of months have been equal and sometimes even better than the January shares. Audiences peak and trough. Aside from the World Cup, our audience is up around 8-10% year-on-year in viewing figures and now we're into the warmer months, all soaps plateau. What we've achieved ratings-wise over the last year has been nothing short of an achievement. But that said, I maintain my ambition to continue building the Emmerdale audience."

Where do Cain and Charity go from here?
"Across this year, we'll start to see Cain and Charity go forward independently. With Emma's initial return, we had to shape a story that fitted the length of time she was back with us for but now she's staying, Cain and Charity will start to drive their own stories. That'll be shown across the summer with Cain and across autumn/winter with Charity. With Charley [Webb] going on maternity leave, we have to shelve one story that was going to play out. But in the months and year ahead, Charity and Cain will prove what great characters they truly are."

When does Charley return?
"She'll be back filming with us around early September and Debbie returns to an absolutely terrific story which takes us into uncharted territory."

When can we expect to see Ryan in more storylines? His fans don't appear to be best pleased about his apparent lack of storylines…
"James loves everything we've given him and to be fair, he's barely been off screen since he came in. Ryan's nearly slept with his sister and has suffered the loss of his father, having discovered that his father wasn't dead in the first place. He's been pretty central! Everybody takes their turn at the centre of the show and across autumn and winter, he'll be very much back there. We'll see the underbelly of Ryan in a way that we've not seen before in terms of revelations and story payoffs.

"At the same time, both James and Ryan have been here for about a year and they have to settle in as an everyday character of the village. It can't all be full-on Ryan episode after episode. There's a long way to go with Ryan still anyway. James is with us for a long time - his journey's barely begun."

Apparently Holly's drug storyline starts spiralling out of control towards the end of the year…

"It does. This is a serious, true story about cocaine and heroin. What I didn't want to do was to run a three-week storyline which sees an addition, discovery and cure in such a short space of time - that's not what happens in real life. Holly's a young girl living a teenage life and her addiction becomes severe. Social use turns to addiction and the real story behind this is how parents in 2010 cope - or not - with this sort of situation and then how they deal with it. It's a trying journey for John and Moira – and all the family. We're working very, very closely with drugs counsellors and ex-drug users to ensure that everything's right."

On a lighter note, how about signing Joan Collins or Linda Robson as Nana Barton?
"(Laughs) Nana Barton's in the wings and waiting like the Sharma parents! She will arrive but we're not even close to saying 'when', so we're definitely not close to saying 'who'!"

Some fans still think that the older characters aren't used enough…

"All the older character are enormously important to the show and they'll never be undervalued by me. With Richard and Paula's temporary absence we have had to adapt as we go, and there's sometimes nothing we can do to prevent things like that. They're both back with us now and are in terrific health, so I'm as keen to see them as much as possible. Edna's never been away and Pearl's constantly there alongside Paddy and Aaron – a relationship I for one really enjoy."

Do you have any plans for a cross-village storyline - like the chemical spill - which will see unlikely characters get the chance to interact?
"I love storylines like that because it brought the richness to screen of our characters interacting. It's difficult to do those kind of storylines because of the way we schedule the filming of six episodes but there are a couple of things planned for the winter which for good - and for bad - will bring the community together…"

Are there any big stunts planned?
"Yes, we have a couple of rather spectacular things for the winter - a couple of juicy scenarios that we're planning for this year and 2011. But I am a great believer that these things shouldn't be spectacular for spectacular's sake. There has to be a real story going in to them – and an even bigger one coming out."

What's the latest on Emmerdale filming in HD?
"It's the way that all of television is going and we're no different. Plans are under way and we should be able to tell you more in the near future."

Are there any plans to give the Sharmas a storyline of their own?
"Absolutely. We'll learn a lot more about Nikhil's life in the weeks and months from now. From then, both Jai and Nikhil have their own stories. Come autumn/winter, Jai starts mixing with a very big character and crossing others and likewise, Nikhil steps out after being affected by events across the summer and finds himself in a completely different place come the end of the year."

What about the Sharma parents?
"There's always the notion that we can and will see them but I've always said that I don't want to bring in a lot of characters for the sake of bringing in new faces. Every character has to justify their place and we already have a large cast. I'd rather focus on the great cast and characters we have than to just introduce parents for the sake of it. Maybe after the end of the year we'll meet their parents. When they do arrive they will bring a great dynamic to that family - but all in due course."

Priya's departure caused a bit of a stir among fans…
"She left at the end of her contract. We brought in two brothers and a sister with the intention - from the outset - that the brothers would go forward and run the factory alone. There was nothing untoward about her departure at all."

Natasha
"The Wyldes will drive the summer months. Mark's body will be found and it's anything but straightforward for the whole family. I always said that I didn't want Mark's body lying there for a year, so the reveal is just around the corner. The audience at times will know more that some of our characters, there'll be more than a few secrets and cruel, underhand behaviour. All combined, it's just terrific. The story will twist and turn through summer and into autumn to quite a payoff come September/October."

Katie was a fairly big character but her screentime has reduced significantly over the last year…
"Katie fits so well into the village. Frienships and relationships are just as important as story in my opinion as the audience has to believe what they're watching. With characters like Katie, Leyla, Gennie and Chas, their friendships are pivotal. Katie will be seen more across the summer then into the winter, we see her stepping up a gear when she - and some of her friends - find themselves at the centre of some unwanted attention… Further to that, Katie indulges in a new romance that throws up more than a few questions."

Diane
"Diane's story with Charlie takes a huge turn in the coming months… I love to throw in the odd surprise, though, so you'll have to wait and see what happens to her and The Woolpack."

Andy
"We need to deal with the demons that Andy has with Jo - I don't think they've ever been truly paid off. I want him to face those demons head on and he might lose a little in the process. He might have to voice the word 'sorry' at some point – and not before time. Then when Debbie returns, we revisit the history of their relationship in a way that few will see coming."

Have we seen the last of Sally Spode?
"Who knows?! She was such a great villain and she went away claiming that she was carrying Ashley's child. Was she lying? We'll see… It's left nicely open with the question nicely hanging – will she return? It's one we'd only revisit very carefully because going back to any story only works if you have a fresh enough take on it the second time around. I don't think we could reach the heights we did the first time around – but that isn't to say it couldn't be equally great. It's just about remembering that any sequel you make has to be as good as the first."

Leyla's sister Alicia
"Alicia's arrival will keep David and Leyla at the centre of the show, giving them a new dimension. Alicia's like holding a mirror up to Leyla and you see what Leyla used to be. She's the rougher underside and is everything that Leyla managed to shake off. Both sisters carry some feeling towards each other and are both harbouring family secrets, which inevitably come to the fore. The reveals certainly make their lives interesting and Alicia will bring her own take on life to the village and villagers."

Nathan
"He continues to be his rather evil, loathsome self. As the net starts to close in on his mum and everything he holds dear – namely money – we see him sink to a new low in a desperate bid to keep everything together."

Chas and Carl

"It would be a brave or stupid man who tests Chas – and Carl seems determined to give it a go. But you mess with Chas at your peril and he may be advised to sleep with one eye open if she finds out what he is up to. One thing is for sure, the Chas of old will make unmissable viewing – building bridges with Aaron, pairing up with Charity and firmly stamping herself at the centre of the show with a very fresh future. Whether that will be with or without Carl remains to be seen…"

David wants to come clean to Leyla about Tanya
Leyla (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) invites Declan (Jason Merrells) over for a drink and David (Matthew Wolfenden) is thrown when he sees him in the shop. Declan suggests they start afresh and when Leyla pops out, he reassures him he didn’t know the lengths Nathan would go to. But David is adamant he can’t risk it again, he could’ve lost Leyla over this and he’s decided he’s quitting the council.

Tuesday 6th July

Diane’s furious to hear Doug’s still not supportive of Charlie
Everyone has tried to get Doug (Duncan Preston) to drop his detective act and accept Charlie (George Costigan) is a genuine guy. Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) is incredulous at Doug’s meddling and insists if he really has her interests at heart, he’ll stay away and accept that her and Charlie are happy.
Holly continues to lie
Aaron (Danny Miller) reluctantly lies to Paddy (Dominic Brunt) that Holly (Sophie Powles) had too much to drink. She’s relieved when Paddy agrees not to tell John (James Thornton) she stayed at Smithy. However, he feels awful when John buys her lies.
Leyla finds the DVD of David and Tania
Leyla (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shaihdi) is distraught when she accidently comes across the DVD of David (Matthew Wolfenden) and Tania. When David returns to an empty house he quickly realises Leyla has seen it and rushes to Victoria to tell her the truth. He tries to explain but hurt she tells him to leave. Has David blown it by not telling the truth?

Leyla’s guilt at what her demands drive David to
Leyla (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) tells David (Matthew Wolfenden) he’s done nothing wrong and she feels terrible that she put him under so much pressure in the first place.

Thursday 8th July (Ep 2)

Nathan makes a big mistake
Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) is wary when Cain (Jeff Horldey) hints at getting to them through Maisie (Alice Coulthard). Natasha storms out but is clearly shaken and when Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) learns what happened, he’s fuming. Later, Nathan is haunted by Cain and he coolly asserts that Nathan isn’t the only one with a family. Nathan’s nemesis darkens and warns he’s just made a huge mistake. What will Cain do next?
Diane looks forward to her new life in France
Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) makes a heartfelt declaration to Charlie (George Costigan) and admits she can’t wait for their French life together.
Maisie’s efforts to seduce Nikhil fail
Maisie (Alice Coulthard) is deflated when Nikhil (Rik Makarem) fails to succumb to her seduction at Home Farm, as they start to get intimate he makes his excuses and leaves. What is Nikhil hiding?

Natasha finally buckles as Will goes missing
Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) is furious when Will (Oscar Lloyd) doesn’t come home from school. When Cain (Jeff Hordley) finally drops Will off Natasha is worried at what might he is capable of and buckles under the pressure. Will Natasha pay up? Is this the end to her murderous secret?
Diane is determined to hurry through the sale of the pub
Keen to sell the pub and start her life with Charlie (George Costigan), Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) decides to lower the price determined to make it happen as soon as possible.
Maisie realises she’ll have to fight for Nikhil’s affections
Maisie (Alice Coulthard) worries to Katie (Sammy Winward) and Adele (Tanya Vital) that Nikhil’s (Rik Makarem) still not made a move on her.

• Things are still tense between Carl (Tom Lister) and Chas (Lucy Pargeter) but Carl enjoys Eve’s (Suzanne Shaw) attention as light relief

Holly heads for a night out on the town with Aaron and Jackson this week – and is surprised to bump into her old party pal, Roz.

It's not long before Holly is up to her old tricks again, as Roz approaches a guy in the club for drugs, before offering a line of coke to her pal.

A wired Holly later admits to Roz that she's having such a good time - she's had another line of coke and taken a pill.

Roz encourages Holly to take it easy – so she's shocked when she later finds her friend locked in a toilet cubicle, freaking out after having a bad reaction to something she's taken.

Worried for Holly's state of mind, Roz rushes to find Aaron and Jackson, and tells them that the teenager is in trouble.

Aaron finds Holly locked in the cubicle, panicking that her heart is beating too fast and she can't breathe. Is she in serious danger?

Worried for Aaron, a doting Chas pays Jackson a visit and kindly asks them both to be careful.

Aaron's mortified when Jackson informs him of Chas's motherly warning. With that, Aaron angrily confronts his mother, before Paddy steps in to calm him down, insisting that she was only thinking of his welfare.

Will Natasha agree to his ultimatum?
Carl and Chas argue over Shadrach’s presence
Marlon gets excited about his date with Rhona
Marlon (Mark Charnock) plucks up the courage to ask Rhona (Zoe Henry) to dinner, he gets excited as he teases her about where they are going.

Natasha starts to worry about who could behind the funny business
Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) confronts Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) about the flowers and the suit knowing that it would drive Declan (Jason Merrells) away. Later, Natasha is upset when Declan reveals that he can’t be with her any longer if she can’t trust him with the truth. Meanwhile, Nathan’s horrified when he finds a note on his car saying “what are you hiding?”
Marlon runs over Shadrach on his date with Rhona
Carl (Tom Lister) makes it clear he’s had enough, so Shadrach (Andy Devine) leaves Mill Cottage with all his possessions and a bottle of whisky. As he crosses the road drunk, he doesn’t see Marlon (Mark Charnock) and Rhona (Zoe Henry) driving towards him.

Nathan is acting suspiciously

The Barton’s return from holiday on a high, but Holly (Sophie Powles) is deflated when she has to get back to work on the farm, they decide to help her find a job elsewhere. She’s thrilled and swears to Adam (Adam Thomas) she is off the coke.

• Declan (Jason Merrells) tries to get back together with Natasha (Amanda Donohoe), Maisie (Alice Coulthard) persuades her to give him another chance

5645 Thursday 1st July

Natasha decides what to do about her stalker
Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) reveals to Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) who their tormentor is and he thinks cash is the only way to snuff out the threat. However, Natasha warns him paying them off isn’t going to get rid of it and is certain the harasser doesn’t know anything. She’s in turmoil as she ponders what to do, and when Declan (Jason Merrells) shows up for their date – she breaks it off with him. Later, in the lay by, Natasha shows up and insists they’ve nothing to hide and she won’t be paying a penny.
Holly refuses to give into peer pressure
Holly (Sophie Powles) gets a job in the kitchen at the pub and reluctantly rejects Roz’s (Kirsty-Leigh Porter) offer of a big night out insisting she promised her mum and dad she’d behave.
Marlon and Rhona remain close as Shadrach comes to stay
Shadrach (Andy Devine) checks himself out of the hospital in a hurry and makes himself at home in Tall Trees.
Elsewhere:
• Leyla (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) is excited about getting the shop up and running and finally getting Farrar’s to themselves as Val (Charlie Hardwick) and Pollard (Christopher Chittell) move into the B&B. Maisie receives a mysterious birthday present
Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) knows she’s taken a gamble but reassures Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) it is for the best because she’s sure no one knows. Meanwhile, the door goes and Nathan finds a gift for Maisie (Alice Coulthard) on the doorstep with a tag signed from “Dad”. Nathan manages to rip off the tag before Maisie sees it. They watch in horror as Maisie opens the gift, relieved when it’s only a watch. Has Natasha made a huge mistake? Will she pay up?
Shadrach gets some news that makes him rethink his future in the village
At the hospital, Marlon’s (Mark Charnock) exasperated when Shadrach (Andy Devine) doesn’t seem surprised by the doctor’s warning.
Rodney tries to get Doug to move on
Doug (Duncan Preston) is still suspicious as he questions Rodney (Patrick Mower) about Charlie’s (George Costigan) job.

Doug thinks Charlie has another woman
As Charlie (George Costigan) heads out once again, Doug (Duncan Preston) is suss. Later, he’s smug when he realises Charlie has lied about his whereabouts and tells Laurel and Ashley he just needs some evidence to prove to Diane she’s making a mistake.
Unable to stop himself, Shadrach keeps on drinking
Rhona (Zoe Henry) senses something is up and Marlon eventually cracks. Meanwhile, Shadrach (Andy Devine) is struggling and after leaving his pint untouched in the pub, he hesitates outside the church before turning his back and cracking open a can – he just can’t help himself.
Natasha’s nerves are beginning to crack
Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) comes home to find a wedding photo of her and Mark ripped in two and reels to know someone has been in the house.
Elsewhere:
• Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) goes to stay with Annie in Spain
• Holly (Sophie Powles) makes plans to tag along on a night out with Aaron (Danny Miller) and Jackson (Marc Silcock), reassuring John (James Thornton) she won’t let him down – he can trust her

At community payback, Aaron tries to ignore Wayne's homophobic jibes. When he tries to pick on the new boy, however, Aaron turns the tables and humiliates Wayne instead.

Later, Aaron heads back to the garage, completely unaware that Wayne's followed him. Wayne angrily confronts Aaron over what happened earlier in the day but Aaron refuses to fight back.

With that, Wayne picks up a spanner but Aaron doesn't move to defend himself. Both, however, don't realise that Jackson's watched the scene unfold. Will Jackson jump to Aaron's rescue?

As Aaron struggles to contain his temper, Jackson steps in and restrains Wayne who's still clasping the wrench. When Wayne slopes off, however, Jackson returns to work, leaving Aaron puzzled by his heroic actions.

Later, Aaron buys Jackson a pint in The Woolpack and talk soon turns to Aaron's suicide attempt. Aware that all eyes are on them, they head back to Smithy, where Aaron nervously asks Jackson to stay the night

Emmerdale actor Danny Miller has admitted that he can find it difficult to play his homosexual on-screen persona.

Speaking to Gay Times, the 19-year-old actor was asked about his relationship with his alter ego Aaron Livesy's love interest Jackson Walsh (Marc Silcock).

Miller said: "It's difficult because you're kissing the same sex and you know you're not attracted to them, you're not a homosexual and you're not attracted to them in that way. So it is hard, yeah."

Silcock added: "But you know, it's got to be done. So the only way of doing that is to sit down and have a chat and just try to make it look as real as possible.

"We don't want it to just look like two straight blokes kissing each other. We want to make it look as real as possible, while getting over the difficulties that are involved in it."

At Home Farm, Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) is rocked with horror as a bouquet of flowers arrive from the person she least expected. Who knows Natasha’s secret?
Aaron admits he got together with Jackson
Paddy (Dominic Brunt) is awkward when he realises Jackson (Marc Silcock) stayed the night. Later, Aaron (Danny Miller) thanks Paddy for being ok with Jackson staying and admits to Chas (Lucy Pargeter) it’s a proper relationship. Worried for Aaron, Chas does the motherly thing and visits Jackson, she kindly asks him to be careful. How will Aaron react when he finds out?
Diane’s finding it hard to let Charlie go
Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) tells Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) about the money Charlie (George Costigan) gave him and tells her perhaps he’s worth fighting for.
Elsewhere:
• Marlon (Mark Charnock) uses Daisy the dog as an excuse to see Rhona (Zoe Henry) at the vets but is left embarrassed when she coyly points out there are cheaper ways to chat someone up

Tuesday 22nd June

Natasha thinks Nathan must have sent the flowers
Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) furiously accuses Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) of sending the flowers whilst Maisie (Alice Coulthard) is confused by her mother’s reaction. Meanwhile, she is shocked when the police arrive claiming Mark’s credit card was used to pay for the flowers. She icily commends Nathan for his performance however he firmly denies sinking so low. Natasha is left shaken as she worries if it wasn’t him, then who?
Aaron’s angry at protective Chas
Aaron (Danny Miller) is mortified when Jackson (Marc Silcock) reveals Chas’s (Lucy pargeter) motherly warning. He angrily confronts his mum before Paddy (Dominic Brunt) calms him down and makes him see sense.
Diane tells Charlie she doesn’t want to lose him
Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) masks her disappointment when Charlie (George Costigan) reveals he’s going back to France next week. Later, she plucks up the courage to tell him she’s not okay with them separating.
Elsewhere:
• Rhona (Zoe Henry) tells Marlon (Mark Charnock) to just ask her out so they arrange an evening together tomorrow
• Nikhil (Rik Makarem) comforts Maisie (Alice Coulthard) when her emotions return following the flowers “Mark” sent

Thursday 24th June (Episode 1)

Nathan takes responsibility for the flowers
Word about the flowers spreads through the village. Faye (Kim Thomson) furiously confronts Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) about knowing more than she’s let on. When Maisie can’t cope with it all at work Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) sends her home and Natasha rues the fact she can’t give Maisie closure. Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) tries to dissuade her from telling Maisie the truth. Later, just as Natasha is about to confess to Maisie she hesitates, Nathan steps in and confesses to sending the flowers. Horrified, Maisie slaps him and storms out. Did Nathan really send the flowers?
Diane comes to a big decision over Charlie and her future
Val (Charlie Hardwick) encourages Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) to move to France with Charlie (George Costigan). However, he tells her that it is unlikely he will be able to fund the finishing renovations on the chateaux. Diane is left frustrated when he kindly refuses her offer of money from selling the Woolpack.
Eve makes her presence at Pear Tree felt
Eve (Suzanne Shaw) arrives at Pear Tree in a revealing outfit but promises to heed Scarlett’s (Kelsey-Beth Crossley) cold warning about flirting.
Elsewhere:
• Marlon (Mark Charnock) and Rhona (Zoe Henry) enjoy each others company at dinner. As they lean in to kiss they are interrupted by Paddy (Dominic Brunt) insisting there is an emergency Rhona needs to attend to

Thursday 24th June (Episode 2)

Charlie proposes to Diane
Charlie (George Costigan) is determined not to take Diane’s (Elizabeth Estensen) money however Rodney (Patrick Mower) encourages him to go for it. Later, Charlie proposes to Diane saying if she’s coming to France then they have to do it properly. She agrees and loudmouthed Val (Charlie Hardwick) announces to the pub their engagement, much to Doug’s (Duncan Preston) dismay.
Word spreads that Nathan was behind the flowers
Ryan (James Sutton) is furious that Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) could be so conniving.
Marlon discovers Rhona feels the same as him
Paddy (Dominic Brunt) tells Rhona (Zoe Henry) she needs to be more obvious with Marlon (Mark Charnock). At the pub, Marlon is delighted when she smooches his face off and tells him to get his act together.

Emmerdale actor Marc Silcock has revealed that the show's cast are already looking ahead to the 2011 British Soap Awards following their disappointing night at this year's ceremony.

The Yorkshire-based serial was nominated in every category at last month's event, but its only recognition in the final results went to long-serving writer Bill Lyons, who won the 'Special Achievement' prize.

Silcock - who plays Jackson Walsh on the programme - has now told DS that he and his co-stars are aiming to do better next year.

Asked whether his screen love interest Danny Miller (Aaron Livesy) deserved a prize, Silcock replied: "Don't even get me started on the Soap Awards! It's the way the voting goes, though. Danny apparently had the problem of coming second in a lot of categories. The stuff he filmed with Dominic Brunt was incredible.

"I do think it was wrong that he didn't get anything, but there's always next year. It's brought the whole cast together and it's made us all want to work that bit harder so we don't go through the same thing next year."

EastEnders was the big winner at this year's event, taking home the 'Best Soap' gong and nine other prizes.
